Trophy Achievement Night on Friday 26th June at Morden Leisure Centre
On Friday night we held our first trophy night, this is where swimmers have completed all 5 events with the required times at whatever level was required.
We have 10 children that have completed their times for the different standards.
3 Platinum, 1 Gold, 3 Silver, 3 Bronze
(We have another 7 to follow and they will receive their Trophies when I have another 10 children.)
These children have managed to reach the ASA times for a specific level. (Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum)
This means that they have achieved the times for all 5 events at 100m each.
(Front crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Individual Medley)
All the information is in their Time Award books.
Children that have completed one level will then move on to the next.
For example: When a Bronze trophy is achieved they will move on to Silver times.
Children that have completed Platinum will move on to the County Level times.
All achievement times are in their Time Award books and on the club website times page.
Now the coaches are now running the sessions according to my training schedules, leaving me available to take a small group of children to time and improve them personally.
Over the last 6 weeks we have been concentrating on achieving the times required for these awards with children working very hard and knocking seconds off their times.
We have had 17 children reach their times in all 5 events in just 6 weeks.You can see how well your child has been doing by looking in their Time Award Books. You should be very proud of the work they are doing to reach these targets.
All the children in the Sunday 5-6pm session and Wimbledon College sessions are also working towards these times. So everyone is getting the chance to chase their times and they work hard towards it.
I hope that you will support your children and the club by attending the presentation of the awards on Friday evening at 9:15pm at Morden Park pool and to be proud of the work they have done.
