Volunteers Certifications & Training

We already have many of our members now either being lifeguards or teaching at different pools around the area, but we thought it was time to take it a step further and take it up to the next level.

Being an all inclusive forward thinking club, we want to make sure that the club continues on its path and in the hope that this happens we are training some of our swimmers to become teachers or coaches. The section below shows how they are progressing and to what level they have achieved. They are all doing courses and with the head coaches mentoring them they are also getting real world experience teaching in the club. It’s no good having done the theory without the equally important practical experience and of course there is much more of this to gain. Harry has a lifetime of knowledge to pass on.

Please have a good look through the Courses & Careers page, there is a lot of information on courses and links to book them. In the blue section there are some short courses you can take that are free or cheap, but all are good experience and I guarantee that they will come in useful later on when you do the full courses.
