Eastbourne Open Meet
London Aquatic Olympic Pool
Well done to the swimmers from the recent trip to the London Aquatic Olympic Pool. There was some excellent distance swimming with swimmers achieving 2500-5000 metres. It was a pleasure to use the fantastic facilities.
Cranleigh Open Meet
Well done to all the boys who took part in the Cranleigh Open Meet on 5th October. Some medals won and PB’s broke.

Merton Pisces visited by Olympic Swimmer

Woking Open Meet
Well done to all the swimmers that participated in the Woking open meet today. Together we managed to win lots of races: 6 – 1st Place 18 – 2nd Place 7 – 3rd Place Everyone improved their times and it was a great success.

Octopus Open Meet Results
Everyone did well at the open meet today, and we won a total of 14 trophies. These were: 4 Gold 7 Silver 3 Bronze Well done to everyone who attended it was a great success, thank you! We are looking forward to attending the Littlehampton meet next Sunday.

Littlehampton Open Meet

Big Splash Animation Project
We are taking a few of our swimmers to the BBC for a Drama Workshop. This help to create the ‘Big Splash’ animation which is aimed getting children in the water. We will be doing this on Monday 24th October. Good luck to everybody that attends!
Coach Award For Achievement
Head Coach Harry has awarded Megan with the Jack Petchey Award For Achievement. This is because of Megan’s hard work in lessons and great attitude, well done! Here she can be seen with a representative from Jack Petchey who kindly presented Megan the award as well as speaking to previous award winners.

Tuesday Swimming Cancelled College
October 26th 2010 – At Wimbledon College this Tuesday swimming is cancelled due to high chlorine levels. Please check with Harry for more details, we hope the pool will re-open in time for Thursday’s swimming. Swimming on tuesday at morden baths is not cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Jack Petchey November and October Winner
In November Harry won the Jack Petchey award, he decided that the £200 will be going to our upcoming Guildford trip. Club members are able to vote for others to win the Jack Petchey award again in a few months. In Ocotober Robin won the Jack Petchey award, well done!
