We are looking into running a PGL trip in 2013 (Friday 3rd May – 6th May 2013) at the PGL activity centre at Hindhead. Some of the activities included would be Absailing, Quad Biking, Archery, Ball Sports, Climbing, Go Karting and more.

Please register your interest before the end of May 2012 or your enquiry won’t be counted.

If you are interested in going to this event next year then please put down the number of club swimmers in your family who wish to attend (note only members of the club will be able to attend, not any other members of the family):

ASA Club Member Tickets for Paralympics

ASA London Region PARALYMPIC 2012 ticket allocation

The ASA London Region is pleased to announce that we have received Paralympic tickets which have been made available for our members. By law, the tickets must be sold at face value only. Neither the ASA nor the Region are adding any administrative or processing charge to the tickets price, nor are they subsidising ticket prices in any way.

The Regional Management Board has decided that the fairest way to allocate them is to invite our membership to apply for the tickets, which are for various sessions, and then to distribute them by ballot.

Several members of the club participated in a project for the BBC a few months ago. The project has now been completed and released by the BBC, and several members of our club are in it! Click the link below to watch a clip of the BBC Big Splash:

Coach Harry was pleased as his green fish he created and animated using stop motion made several appearances. Many other club members creations also came to life through stop motion animation which they participated in during the project. Well done everyone!

Urgent! – OLYMPIC STADIUM EVENT

All club members and their family’s are invited to this fantastic event:

“As a sports club that provides coaching for an Olympic Sport, we’d love to invite you to The Gold Challenge event in the Olympic Stadium.

The event in the Olympic Stadium on Sunday 1st April 2012 will feature a number of fundraisers, celebrities and athletes competing in a series of 100m sprints, relay races and a Gold Challenge Olympic themed parade.

Live music acts and a host of top stars will be announced soon but will feature Team GB ambassadors, international rugby and sporting stars and pop stars.

To be one of the first to enter the stadium, which this summer plays host to some of the most prestigious sporting events and biggest names in the world of athletics, tickets for the day are available from just £12.

Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis, and are likely to sell fast, so book early to experience this exciting event, which will also celebrate the achievement of thousands of extraordinary people fundraising for the Gold Challenge.”

Littlehampton Open Meet

Swimming starts next week and there is swimming this Saturday (3-4:30 at Morden Baths) for the advanced swimmers.

Good luck to all the swimmers who will be taking part in the open meet this Sunday.
